Alisa Schierman

With over two decades of non-profit management and fundraising experience, Alisa is currently Director of Development at the non-profit organization, Design Trust for Public Space. Prior to joining them, Alisa had headed the development department at New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) (2008 – 2015) where, in partnership with NYTW’s leadership, she was able to turn a $1 million deficit into a $2 million cash reserve.
Her areas of expertise include: board development, major gift and individual giving strategy, as well as a deep knowledge of foundation fundraising. Alisa holds a Master’s in Urban Affairs from Hunter College and a B.S. from NYU. She is also a classically trained singer.
