The cost of a college education grows every year. Through the kindness and generosity of our donors, the Scholarship and Welfare Fund of the Alumni Association of Hunter College (S&W Fund) has supported more than 25,000 students as they pursue their educations.
Each tax-deductible gift, no matter the size, helps us continue providing Hunter College students with the financial support they need to complete their degrees and achieve their goals. The S&W Fund is an independent 501(c)(3) organization.

Endowed Scholarships
Endowed funds contributed by individuals, classes, chapters, foundations and bequests are the foundation of our student support. Endowment donations may be made over a period of seven years to achieve the goal of each award.
Minimum donation levels to establish endowed scholarships are:
- Undergraduate awards: $12,000
- Graduate awards: $18,000
- S&W Scholars: $30,000
- Dormitory Scholarships: $30,000
- Thomas Hunter Honors Program: $30,000
